My Story

2026 Brighton Marathon  a 26.2 mile route from city to coast past the iconic sites of Brighton and Hove. is a 26.2 mile route from city to coast past the iconic sites of Brighton and Hove. Enjoy an atmosphere like no other in this bustling, vibrant and colourful city, which welcomes thousands of spectators and the local community each year.

I’m fundraising for Sarcoma UK because of my pops’ journey — a man who has shown more strength and resilience than anyone I know.

In the blur of COVID back in 2020, my pops was diagnosed with a chordoma in his spine, a rare form of cancer that falls under the sarcoma family. He was admitted to hospital and away from us for over five months during one of the most uncertain and isolating times. Since then, he has undergone several operations and rounds of radiotherapy and even learnt to walk again. We all celebrated when he rang the bell, believing he’d beaten it.Sadly, in 2023, the chordoma returned. He is now almost bed-bound and requires carers several times a day — yet despite everything, he continues to fight. He still looks after me and my younger brother in his own way, always offering love, advice, and strength when we need it most.

My pops has always been my role model, and it’s for him that I run. I completed the London Marathon 2025 in support of Chordoma UK, raising funds and awareness for this rare condition. I’ve now found a real passion for running and am setting my sights on completing all six World Marathon Majors. This next marathon is about pushing myself again — aiming for a personal best to qualify for Boston Marathon, after missing out by just one minute this year.

Every mile I run and every pound raised will go towards helping others facing sarcoma and chordoma. I want to build awareness for these rare cancers, support research, and honour the strength of my pops — the biggest fighter I know.

Thank you so much for any support, whether it’s a donation, a share, or just a few kind words along the way. Together, we can make a difference.
