Running my 1st full marathon for Amberwood Animals

My Story
Brighton Marathon completed!!!! What a great experience it was but the best thing was all the kind generous donations from you all for the beautiful animals at Amberwood Animals!! THANK YOU SO MUCH XXX
I discovered Amberwood Animals over 2 years ago and met Mark. He runs the sanctuary single handed with passion and only the help of volunteers like me.
Mark has given farmed cows, pigs and sheep the sanctuary to thrive and live their life to the full in serene surroundings. Without his help these farmed animals would almost certainly not be alive now.
For the winter Mark has built shelters and at great cost. Two sheep shelters that are away from flooding and kept completely dry. In the better months, all the residents can roam freely over acres of fields that he has to pay rent for.
Volunteering helped me with my mental wellbeing too as I'd suffered a huge loss and being at the sanctuary gives me a feeling of calm.
Spending time around the animals takes away the thoughts of 'your issues'. You really can't be anxious when around these beautiful animals.
As Mark is managing everything, he needs all the help he can to carry on caring for these beautiful souls which is why I chose to run Brighton for Amberwood Animals.
I know that every penny I raise will go towards the care of the residents relying on Mark.
Even a pound will make a difference for a small charity like Amberwood Animals.
I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE DONATED SO FAR. My marathon is NOTHING compared to Marks daily dedication to keep these animals living a great existance which they wouldnt of had without him x
